Forest Ridge Architectural Control Committee (ACC)
The Architectural Control Committee exists to preserve the value of homes and property in our area by enforcing the ACC Regulations approved by the Board of Directors (click on the box above to view the regulations). It is composed of a chairperson, administrative assistants, and several ACC inspectors.
If you are considering making a change to the exterior of your home or property, you will need to get approval from the ACC before you start the work. If you are replacing or repairing parts of your home with the same materials and colors that were originally in place, please do not assume that no approval is needed. First check the ACC Regulations to see if any new restrictions have been put into place and then submit an ACC Change Application for approval. Complete an ACC Change Application and either bring it to one of the regular meetings of the ACC or mail it to the address on the form. The committee meets the first Thursday of each month (except July) at 7 pm at the Eastern Loudoun County Sheriff's Station.
If you make unauthorized changes to your home or property or infringe upon or harm common ground in Forest Ridge you will be notified and given a chance to correct those issues within a certain time frame. If the issue is not corrected, legal action may be taken that could include a judgement or lien placed on your home. The FRHOA Board is serious about keeping our property values up and not allowing the neighborhood to decline.
If you would like to help the ACC, you can volunteer to join the committe and help with administrative work or as an inspector or you can just report violations of the ACC regulations when you see them by e-mailing acc@forest-ridge.org.
