Proposed New ACC Regulations

The FRHOA Board has completed a review of the proposed revised Architectural Control Committee (ACC) regulations (see document to the right).  Homeowners are invited to review and comment on these regulations. The deadline to submit comments or request changes to these regulations is 5:00 P.M. Friday, April 21, 2017.  The Board will then approve a final version, send it to our lawyer for a legal review, and then vote on approval of the final ACC regulations.  The final new regulations will then be posted on this website. Submit your comments to ACC@forest-ridge.org.

Proposed New ACC Regulations

Forest Ridge Architectural Control Committee (ACC)

The Architectural Control Committee exists to preserve the value of homes and property in our area by enforcing the ACC Guidelines approved by the Board of Directors (click on the box above to view the guidelines).  It is composed of a chairperson, administrative assistants, and several ACC inspectors.

If you are considering making a change to the exterior of your home or property, you will need to get approval from the ACC before you start the work.  If you are replacing or repairing parts of your home with the same materials and colors that were originally in place, please do not assume that no approval is needed.  First check the guidelines to see if any new restrictions have been put into place and then submit a form for approval.  Print out the ACC Change Request Form (click on box above) and either bring it to one of the regular meetings of the ACC or mail it to the address on the form.  The committee meets the first Thursday of each month (except July) at 7 pm in the Art Room at Forest Grove Elementary School.

If you make unauthorized changes to your home or property or infringe upon or harm common ground in Forest Ridge you will be notified and given a chance to correct those issues within a certain time frame.  After that you will be assessed a fine and could eventually be taken to court or have a lien placed on your home.  The FRHOA Board is serious about keeping our property values up and not allowing the neighborhood to decline.

If you would like to help the ACC, you can volunteer to join the committe and help with administrative work or as an inspector or you can just report violations of the ACC guidelines when you see them by calling the Message System at 703-481-0283 or by e-mailing acc@forest-ridge.org.
